Over the year, the population of Russia decreased by 555 thousand people
As of January 1, 2023, 146.4 million people lived in Russia (taking into account the annexed Crimea), RBC writes with reference to Rosstat's data. The numbers are given taking into account the data of the All-Russian Census-2021, they include the population of Crimea, but do not take into account the inhabitants of four partially occupied regions of Ukraine, which in the Kremlin consider the regions of Russia.
