“Radio head is me.” Anton Dolin* attended a Radiohead concert and wrote about what happened to music and to us
Film critic and friend of the Republic editor Anton Dolin attended a Radiohead concert and wrote a 10-page declaration of love for the British band, which he has been listening to non-stop for three decades. There was a place in it for lyrical memories, reportage, revision of the entire discography, and even Radiohead’s connections with cinema, art, and literature. Once upon a time, I dreamed of becoming a music critic, but I never went further than an ordinary music lover.

In and out: what Russian investors are looking for outside the country, and foreign investors in Russia
trader looks at the screen on the MICEX Photo by DENIS SINYAKOV / AFP The movement of money around Russia increasingly resembles a two-way highway: private Russian capital flows abroad, and short-term speculative funds enter the country in search of high returns. This strange symmetry rests on trust, which quickly disappears for some investors and temporarily appears for others. Maxim Blunt* sees this as a risk for the Russian market.

On the roads of war. Ukraine and Donbass in photographs of the military 6th Army of the Wehrmacht
The unknown archive of a German amateur photographer, found by Arthur Bondar, shows the Eastern Front through the eyes of an ordinary participant in the war. Photographs taken in 1941–1942 by units of the Wehrmacht's 6th Army document the period of the offensive on Kyiv and subsequent battles for the Donbass, as well as the advance of German troops across the territory of modern Ukraine and Russia.
