The government can allocate another 3.2 billion rubles to Rostelecom to eliminate digital inequality and reduce the number of collective Internet access points. The Rostelecom funds allocated by the Government expects to receive in 2016 a person in the government apparatus confirmed to Vedomosti that the initiative on the additional financing of Rostelecom is being discussed.

On August 20, the third annual practical conference Crypto Install Fest 2016 (CIF 3) was held in the Sakharov Center. The purpose of the conference is to discuss issues of freedom of speech and censorship on the network, state regulation of the Internet, protect user confidentiality, discussions about new decentralization technologies that help protect free Internet, as well as exchange of views on other issues of modern digital technologies.

The Association of Copyright Protection on the Internet (Azapi) sent a petition to the Moscow City Court to delete the “Yandex” searches for books in the Rutracker torrent tracker, which is under eternal blocking in Russia. Azapi through the court demands to stop issuing links to the books of Alexei Kalugin (“empty land”, “Torn Time”, “Labyrinth”, “World without Sun”) when using the functions of searching on the Yandex.ru website, leading to Rutracker.

Earlier, experts estimated the costs of 2.2 to 10 trillion rubles, not counting the service and support of the system.
