The European Parliament rejected the Directive of Copyta Consciousness
278 euros deputies voted, against 318, 31 abstained, and the document was sent back to the parliament for further discussion. The radical copyright reform in the European Parliament has not passed this time. The project of a directive that obliges online platforms to check the compliance with copyrights by users and pay publishers of news content for links to it, scored only 278 votes “For”, 318-“Against”, under 31 abstained.
