Of course, it’s interesting to travel around the world, see cities with unusual architecture, plunge into the waters of the ocean or wander through the virgin jungle. Lately we have been faced with the fact that we know better the surroundings of Rome or Paris , we have been to Versailles and Sans Souci, but at the same time we do not suspect that very close to us, in the Moscow region , there are no less interesting monuments of architecture and history.

Ignorance as a demonic force Richard Pipes as Traveling Political Preacher Sergey Zemlyanoy Publication date: August 11, 2000 Russian people are given a rare ability: to get drunk even from slop. I wouldn’t want these words - and they belong, by the way, not to me, but to the entire Russian people, and were said by none other than Anton Chekhov - so, I wouldn’t want these words to be interpreted as evidence of my inveterate Russophobia.

Interpol, issue seventeen: Hexogen engineering and its consequences Ivan Davydov Publication date: August 11, 2000 This issue will be short, emotional and therefore, perhaps, not particularly meaningful. Well, sorry. There was a reason. Weighing half a kilo in TNT equivalent. Explosion on Pushkinskaya I have many different friends. Among them there are several suffering from addiction to hard drugs. Entertaining geography of music Mikhail Fikhtengolts Publication date: August 11, 2000 There are many music festivals. Good and different. It is impossible to go to all of them due to the poverty of the population and their disinterest in music, beautiful and eternal. written by A.S. Pushkin. Boris Godunov Victor Sonkin Publication date: August 11, 2000 I'm indifferent to the theater. What can you do, this is how it happened. The level of theatrical convention irritates me; and if the director tries to get rid of it, then it turns out to be a mess; or the actors cannot be heard from the fifth row. The only form of theatrical performance that I love is opera: there the convention is so concentrated that it transforms into a new quality.

Falconry: twenty-fifth review, dedicated to the actualization of Stalin's pipes, exorbitantly inflated vanity, priceless sheep and the citizen of the troglodyte era Yana Sokolova Publication date: August 11, 2000 I was so inspired, my friends, by yesterday’s awakening of the sleeping beauty “Ex libris “NG” that today I decided to buy the “weekly newspaper of the intelligentsia” “Culture” - suddenly, I think, she, too, had a creative upsurge.
