On August 18, 2009, Robert Novak, a doyen of American political journalism, died. But back in May 2008, 77-year-old Novak celebrated his 45th anniversary as a journalist and columnist for the Chicago Sun Times . But it’s not only Novak’s departure that forces us to take stock of his activities.
