Empathy geopolitics
There are images in politics that traditionally touch the audience. So Dostoevsky is attributed to a thought expressed by the far from the most positive of his heroes, atheist Ivan Karamazov, about the tears of a child, who supposedly does not have the whole reorganization of the universe for the better. The anger of the simple -minded people immediately fell on Dostoevsky, who wrote to him that without a slap, and sometimes a crack, a good member of society could not grow.

1989! Part One
It is quite logical that on the twentieth anniversary of the 1989 events on the already breaking shelf with literary works about this year, which ended the short twentieth century, there were even more books. If we extend 1989, including the unification of Germany and the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990-1991, then it will be more precisely to say-three years that ended the twentieth century.

The unnecessary of the humanitarian culture
From the editorial office. Despite the fact that the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences has signed a contract for renting premises until 2018, interested forces are trying to force the institute to free the building. The directorate of the institute introduced employees to the current situation, voiced an official position and telling about their intentions.

Generation of the APN
The Institute of National Strategy (INS) and the political news agency (APN) for me two completely different institutions. If I am not worried about the fate of the INS, because I’m sure that the institute will be stood with Remizov and Karev, then the fate of the APN as a special political resource seems deeply dramatic to me. The departure of Belkovsky from the INS is a sad thing, but I do not think that fatal.

Oht-center as a ram-fool
The bulldozer attack on the medieval fortresses to Landskron and Nienshants (more precisely, on their even miraculously preserved remains) exposed the real purpose of the Gazprom project “Okhta-Center”. Initially, by the way, this whole project with a 400-meter tower was called Gazprom City. But then he, apparently, decided to “root” in the St. Petersburg toponymic.
