Another, XIV festival of archival cinema was held in white pillars. Every year it consists of the same sections - “confrontation”, “great centuries”, “archival rarities”. This could have been boring for a long time if it were not for the amazing variety of topics proposed. They highlight the main quality of cinema: to be a form of historical thinking. In a sense, all the cinema comes down to several plots.

As such, universally recognized international standards for elections do not exist. Even the very presence of observers in the elections does not meet international standards, because it is “obligatory” only for the colonial and colonial states of the post -Soviet space. In the West, in the heart of democracy, there are no observers in the elections, it is never even supposed to. What are international standards here?

Elections in Ukraine took place, and this is already good. Of course, democracy did not smell of them, but was shed to the pain of a second round from the arsenal of the second round, when the rules for holding the elections change during the play, and most importantly, not how many percent of the population will vote, but, as the governor considers. Hence two dismissals last week of two governors who were conditionally for Yanukovych.

So, according to preliminary data, Viktor Yanukovych wins with a minimal margin in the second round of the presidential election in Ukraine. Strange news. After all, somewhere we already heard this-namely, in the late autumn of 2004, when the then chairman of the CEC of Ukraine Sergey Kivalov stated on November 21 that Yanukovych received 49.42 %, and Yushchenko-46.69 % of votes. In general, almost dejavu.

There are no international elections. For example, in our country, in Ukraine, and in Europe they talk about the “day of silence” - the last day before the elections in which the election campaign should not be conducted. Sometimes it’s not entirely clear whether it is respected or not. In the United States, there is no "day of silence". There, even on the election day, you can agitate, but only no closer than 50 meters from polling stations.

After the counting of more than 90% of the ballots, Viktor Yanukovych still wins. It wins “as if” because there is nothing to talk about any certainty. There is no final data. At best, they will be by the end of February 8. And all 100% of the vote will be counted, perhaps only in the evening of February 9th. Who won? The situation seemed more definite in the middle of February 7, the voting day, when numerous ec-Pols gave Yanukovych 55% of the vote, and Tymoshenko only 40%.
