Komi noted five citizens and one political party for human rights achievements in 2011
Last Saturday, December 10, on the International Human Rights Day, Komi Human Rights Commission (CCP) Memorial announced a list of persons who, according to the organization, made the most significant contribution to the protection of human rights in 2011. They were the Syktyvkar residents of Alexander Makeev, Ilya Byzov, Denis Smirnov, Ivan Dyakonov and Anna Bobretsova, as well as the Komi Republican branch of the Communist Party.
