England exports its garbage to other countries in the form of RDF fuel
Currently, the UK produces and exports solid fuel from RDF waste to a number of European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, while smaller volumes are sent to Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Spain and France and only a very small amount remains in the United Kingdom. As soon as the waste arrives in these countries, they are burned for energy production, which goes to heating nearby buildings and houses.
