The village of Bolshaya Karagai 300 kilometers from Tyumen was flooded 10 minutes after the breakthrough of the dam. According to the governor of the region, Alexander Moore of the elderly, children and poor citizens, as well as animals from the village were evacuated in advance. The Irtysh River, on which the village stands, adds 20 centimeters a day for the fifth day. The water level rose above 12.5 meters. There is a threat of flooding of other settlements, local authorities say.
