not a day without a toast
Oleg Kudrin November 18. Every year on this day my friends and I go to the bathhouse - this is our tradition. There we celebrate the birthday of Eldar Ryazanov. This year, our film master is 75. Let's sing a hussar ballad on this occasion, start an office romance, or remember a forgotten melody for the flute... And we'll put the final point at the station. For two. Or for three? November 19. It would be nice to get out to Kholmogory on this day.

Why did RTR ban Putin?
The first episode of the documentary “Unknown Putin” was shown on RTR on March 17 this year. The second, contrary to the announcements and expectations of the creators, never aired. Evil tongues said that the draconian decision was made for political reasons by some high official of the Ministry of Press. Meanwhile, the content of the film is quite harmless: the first part tells the story of Putin’s biography from birth to graduation. The second covers his life up to the moment when the acting.

Her film career began at the age of one and a half, when her dad cast her in “Strange People,” but Masha wanted to be independent. She entered the Institute of Foreign Languages and became a professional translator. True, nature still took its toll.

Newton was offended
In St. Petersburg, two rare publications were stolen from the Russian National Library (RNB): Newton’s “Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy” (1687) and Bolshakov’s “Le futur” (1913). An examination of the value of the stolen property has not yet been carried out. The loss, as usual, was discovered by chance: the checklists handed in by readers turned out to be fake. This is the fourth major theft from this library in the last 10 years.

observer
Subscription Archive observer Irina Lipovets Carried away There is hysteria in the USA: a respectable family from New Mexico, having arrived in New York on vacation, brought with them the bubonic plague - both are in the hospital, the husband is in serious condition. "Black Death! - the local media scream. - She's back! Guard!" But then the doctors modestly objected: why would the plague return if it never disappeared? They say it's carried by rats - didn't you know?

Why did Gurnov throw paper clips at Mitkova?
No matter how much the masters of live television broadcast say that for them “live” work on camera is a common thing, many cannot get rid of their excitement to this day. And they remember their first broadcasts, filled with reservations and ridiculous overlays, all their lives. When Alexander Gurnov , still at the time of his work at TSN, invited Tatyana Mitkova (Segodnya, NTV) to become a news anchor, she, according to him, almost fainted.

American psychologists say: families dominated by women live conflict-free and happy lives. A clear example of this is a Moscow married couple - Viktor and Lena Ageev.
