Ilyumzhinov liked “grandmaster” Gaddafi
The head of the International Chess Federation, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, commented on his recent meeting with the leader of Libya Muammar al-Gaddafi as part of the Year of Africa declared by FIDE. “For more than two hours we sat, talked, drank tea, played chess. He is a completely normal person, adequate. We had a calm, friendly conversation,” ITAR-TASS reports Ilyumzhinov’s words.
