At the Reno Air Race in Nevada, a P-51 Mustang crashed into a crowd of spectators. The crash occurred during an air race in which modified World War II aircraft are allowed to compete. The plane, piloted by 74-year-old pilot Jimmy Leeward, went out of control due to a malfunction. He was flying straight towards the stands, but the pilot managed to direct him to a less busy area. As a result of the disaster, three people died, including Leeward.

I learned about the filming of the film based on my novel “The Geographer Drank His Globe Away,” which is scheduled to begin on November 2, from press reports. It's good if they are reliable. I sold the film rights a long time ago, but things are still not moving. I don't have more precise information. The film based on “The Geographer” is a project by Valery Todorovsky. Why on earth should a writer pry into the director's affairs? It’s hard to find me in one place.

She said something nasty about Lindsay’s new tattoo, hitting the party hostess to the quick.
