I cannot be a teacher for others. I can’t impose my creativity. It is unique for everyone and subsequently what we usually call style is born from it. His works are real masterpieces, and I don’t even want to compare the artist himself with anyone. His style is unique, because he is a French street art artist - Christian Guémy, better known under the pseudonym C215, and also a member of the jury of the Erarta MOTION PICTURES 2016 film festival. What is so unique about street art?

The exhibition “Beauty Salon” by Elena Martynenko was probably best written about by its viewers in the “Book of Reviews” - a notebook at the entrance, fairly swollen from impressionable visitors. “These nails are so sexy! I saw it and was stunned! I want these!”; “The exhibition conveys the atmosphere of a beauty salon and the mood of a woman after visiting it”; “An original look at banal things”; "Cool! It's turned on! My girlfriend and I are running home to make love! Hooray!

From March 24 to 27, the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art hosted film screenings as part of the Erarta Motion Pictures festival. The competition program includes 24 films from Finland, Norway, Estonia, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Israel, Colombia, Russia, Great Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. The selection of films was varied. Cartoons and abstractions coexisted with carefully thought-out autobiographical and documentary films.

What complements any cake? Cherry. The cherry on the cake serves as a kind of decoration and emphasizes the exquisite taste of the dessert. The “cherry” of the festival was the meeting with Sergei Pakhomov (Pakhom) and his lecture “Pakhom’s Path to Cinema.” In fact, it’s very difficult to call it a lecture, much less a lecture about the movie that was shown. It was a moderately absurd, but attractive and somewhat interesting monologue.

On Saturday there will be another evening from the Igitur series (curators - Kirill Korchagin and Denis Larionov), the guest of which will be the poet Vasily Lomakin. We have timed the publication of three completely new texts by the poet to coincide with this event: to some extent, this is the most radical material in the entire history of “L5”.

While St. Petersburg welcomes spring walking along the avenues, passers-by run across the road to the sunny side so that it is not so chilly, Erarta invites everyone to plunge into the world of cinema about painting and warm up under the rays of the silver screen. Thoughts get tangled in an unusual tangle; not everyone is able to see beauty and understand the meaning where it is needed.

One of the jury members, Sergei “PAKHOM” Pakhomov, a Soviet and Russian underground actor, screenwriter, musician, interior designer, artist working in the avant-garde style, and stand-up artist, spoke about his impressions of the festival, trends in modern cinema and aesthetics in cinema. What are your impressions of the Erarta Motion Pictures Film Festival?

04/02/2016 00:00 Recently, Kiev philosopher Sergei Datsyuk wrote a very important article with fresh thoughts about the situation in Ukraine. An important phenomenon that was highlighted is the awakening of the public (or society) as a result of the Maidan events. This situation is not so easy to recognize, much less evaluate. In the vast majority of situations in the modern world, the public is asleep rather than awake.

If you try to compare the human brain with a computer, then the operating system of this computer should be what is often called a “worldview”. Accordingly, different computers mean different operating systems and modifications within the systems. In this case, modern religion can be compared to Mac OS.
