Eurasianism in a European way, or some critical remarks to the Eurasian theory.
In modern Russia, Eurasianism is somewhat popular, a concept, roughly speaking, that states that Russia is the successor not only, say, of the ancient Russian principalities, but also the Empire of Genghis Khan, and, more broadly speaking, is a kind of Euro-Asian synthesis, and although much more European than Asia, noticeably more Asian than Europe, etc. etc. This theory, like many other similar theories, has problems in terms of facts.
