Ursula Le Guin. The theory of fiction as bags
Ursula Le Guin develops the anthropological myth and metaphor of the bag for alternative life stories to Hero stories built on conflict and violence. Not to hunt, but to gather, not a Hero, but heroes and heroines - ultimately, not to stab, cut, hit, but to contain, store and sow. Her approach subsequently played a significant role in the formation of feminist writing and the writing of Donna Haraway in particular.
