Andrey Shental. Under Western Eyes
Ilya Repin. What Freedom! 1903 The events of 2013–14 — the annexation of Crimea, military intervention in Ukraine, the passing of the ‘anti-gay propaganda’ legislation, to name just a few — brought Russia, for the first time since the fall of the Soviet Union, to the epicentre of worldwide media attention. A newly aggressive and militantly ‘anti-western’ stance elicited both positive and negative reactions across the globe, but equally it prompted a sense of confusion.

Anna Aksyonova. American poetry
Commentary by Nina Alexandrova: Anna Aksenova's poems are about internal emigration, which never ends - even if it turns into external emigration. Only the scenery changes in it, but you yourself, your fear of unknown political evil, of violence and absurdity, which constitutes the very essence of reality, will always remain inside, will always remain with you. After all, the homeland is not just a construct, it is practically you yourself.

Fragmentary Marxism
Engels in the initial phase of the fragmentation of Marxism In previous articles we introduced, but Jesuitically kept silent about the content of the term “fragmentary Marxism” ( or “Marxist fragments” ). To understand the meaning of our project of “critical cartography” of thought after Marx and a new step on this thorny route, we will dwell in more detail on the logical and historical content of the “Marxist fragments”.
