Paul Mattick: Introduction to "Basic Principles of Communist Production and Distribution" (1970)
This collective work, Basic Principles of Communist Production and Distribution, was first published 40 years ago. Its authors, a group of international communists in Holland, belonged to the workers' council movement. Workers' councils first emerged during the Russian revolution of 1905 and, according to Lenin, even then had the potential to seize political power, although in fact they were still on the soil of the bourgeois revolution.
