Where thinking stops. About Kierkegaard's "Fear and Trembling"
Preface Fear and Trembling is a book that is difficult to simply summarize. Kierkegaard turns to the biblical story of Abraham, who received a demand from God to sacrifice his own son Isaac. But the philosopher is interested not only in the act itself. The main question is whether it is even possible to understand Abraham using reason and universal ethics. Before moving on to philosophy, it is worth remembering the biblical story itself, around which the entire book is built.
