A 65-year-old cancer patient, who was denied pain relief, hanged himself in Moscow
65-year-old Alexey Kalagin, who had pancreatic cancer, committed suicide today in the north-east of Moscow. A nuclear physicist was found hanging from a horizontal bar in his own apartment. Kalagin was treated in one of the European clinics. All his family’s savings were spent on this, and the scientist continued treatment in Moscow - now for free. Kalagin went to clinic No. 107, however, according to his wife, doctors constantly delayed prescribing medications.
