The church opened a new shelter for refugees from Ukraine
A new shelter for refugees from the territory of Ukraine has opened in Rybinsk, it was opened by the Russian Orthodox Church, the Synodal Department for Charity reports. The two-story building, which was in disrepair, was renovated and prepared to receive refugees from Ukraine in need of housing using general church funds. Currently, 21 people live in the diocesan “House of Mercy” in Rybinsk, including 10 children of preschool and school age. In total, the shelter is designed for 30 people.
