FOM: in Russia the number of volunteers has doubled in two years
Over the past two years, the number of volunteers in Russia has more than doubled, reports Rossiyskaya Gazeta, citing research by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM). According to the study, today in Russia 7% of the population, or seven million people, are engaged in volunteer activities, compared to three million in 2013. 15% of respondents are active in volunteer activities from time to time, another 8% participate in educational associations and interest clubs.
