More than half of Russia's total wealth is in the hands of 0.1% of the country's population
At the end of 2016, in Russia, one tenth of one percent of the population owns 62% of the country’s total wealth, Sergei Gipsh, managing partner of the consulting company Knight Frank, told RIA Novosti. According to the company’s expert, over the year the number of dollar millionaires in Russia increased by 10% - by the end of the year there were 132 thousand of them. 2.7 thousand of them have a fortune exceeding 30 million US dollars. In total, Russian dollar millionaires own $930 billion.
