In Russia, more than 56 thousand children have become orphans due to the coronavirus pandemic. Such data are presented in a study by the scientific journal The Lancet. In total, according to the data received, more than 1.5 million children have lost at least one parent or guardian. Most of these were in Peru, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Iran, the United States of America, Argentina and Russia.
