Metadata: digital traces that we (almost) do not notice
Every day we send emails, some with file files. Every letter has not only the content, but also the date, and the time of sending, the heading, the address of the sender, the recipient’s address, the type of investment, its volume and other characteristics. This is metadata - information that accompanies the content. Any file, telephone conversation, publication on Facebook, books, driver’s rights, medical records or video films have metadata. We often do not notice them.
