City Day in Moscow will be held without fireworks and closures
City Day in Moscow, which falls on September 5-6 this year, will be held without fireworks and blocking the central streets, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. “We will not hold any fireworks, or large concerts, or block Tverskaya,” he said. “The holiday will be such a calm, homely holiday, as they say, for Muscovites — in parks, squares, festival sites,” said the mayor of the capital.
