Austria will conduct universal testing for COVID-19 following the example of Slovakia
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced plans to test the entire population (8.86 million people) for COVID-19 in December, reports Bloomberg. Previously, the so-called "carpet" testing was carried out by Slovakia. A detailed plan for the general testing in Austria could be presented next week, Kurz said. According to him, testing will take place before the second lockdown on December 6, as well as before the Christmas holidays.
