A native of Russia headed the Google division developing self-driving cars
A native of Russia, Dmitry Dolgov became the co-director of Waymo, a Google subsidiary that develops unmanned vehicles. The change in leadership of Waymo was announced by its former CEO John Krafchik. Instead, the company will be headed by two co-heads - Dolgov, who previously served as technical director, and Tekedra Mawakana, who previously worked as chief operating officer. In a statement, Krafchik says Dolgov and Mawakana are "perfect fit" to lead the company.
