The first president of AvtoVAZ has died
In Moscow the day before, on June 3, at the age of 80, the long-term leader, the first president of AvtoVAZ, Vladimir Kadannikov, died. He headed the country's largest car plant from 1988 to 2005 - from USSR General Secretary Gorbachev to Russian President Putin and from Samara to LADA Kalina. The death of Kadannikov was announced by the head of Togliatti (whose honorary citizen was the ex-president of the concern) Nikolai Renz.
