Rivian overtook Volkswagen in capitalization
Electric car maker Rivian's market capitalization has more than doubled to $153 billion since listing last week. Now the company, which promises to build 1,500 cars by the end of the year, is worth more than Volkswagen and about half Toyota, writes Bloomberg . Rivian shares jumped 20% on Tuesday, up 15% at the close of the market. The price per share at the IPO was $78, and at the peak of yesterday's trading reached $179.47 - thus, the price of the company's papers soared by 121% in a week.
