Lavrov told Putin about a chance to reach an agreement with the US and NATO on security guarantees
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a conversation with President Vladimir Putin, said that there is still a chance to agree with the United States and NATO on security guarantees. Lavrov said that the US response to Russia's proposals is divided into two parts. The first part, concerning three key security issues, in particular, non-expansion of NATO, non-deployment of strike weapons and a return to the 1997 configuration in Europe, cannot satisfy Russia, he stressed.
