Following Sberbank, VTB, Russia's second-largest state-owned bank, intends to leave the European market, sources told the Financial Times. He carried out investment banking operations in London and developed an online retail platform in Germany, where there were 160,000 customers. After Western countries froze VTB's assets, its top managers decided that the bank would no longer be able to operate outside of Russia, writes FT.
