UniCredit and Citigroup may exchange their assets in Russia for the foreign business of Russian banks - FT
As one of the least "painful" ways out of Russia, Italy's UniCredit and America's Citigroup are exploring asset swaps with Russian financial institutions, told people familiar with their plans the Financial Times. Negotiations on the sale of the business, however, continue. According to the FT, UniCredit worked out the terms of a deal with Russian banks that were not subject to sanctions.
