The death of drug lord El Mencho and unrest in Mexico - what's happening
On Sunday, February 22, the Mexican Army eliminated Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (El Mencho), the leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) cartel and the most wanted drug lord in Mexico, and possibly the world. Within a few hours, cars were on fire across the country, roads in 20 states were blocked, the city of Guadalajara and the resort of Puerto Vallarta were empty.
