Lecture at the Polytechnic Museum “Polymers and Nanotechnologies”
Most of the objects around us are made up of polymers: plastics, rubbers, fibers of our clothing, most films, adhesives, paints, etc. Moreover, we ourselves also consist of polymer molecules: DNA, RNA, proteins, polysaccharides. It was not by chance that nature chose these molecules to implement life processes: polymer systems have low entropy, so they have a pronounced tendency to self-organize.
