On February 6, 2018, the Ministry of Education and Science awarded the Anti-Prize “for the most harmful pseudoscientific project” to the research and production company Materia Medica Holding. This is not so much an unpleasant episode in the career of its main owner, general director and ideological inspirer - Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg Ilyich Epstein - as a reason for a serious conversation about the state of domestic medical science and medical education.
