The first mass rally “For Fair Elections” after the New Year holidays took place in Moscow.
The initiators of the action were the Solidarity movement, the League of Voters, as well as the “blue bucket” automobile movement. At lunchtime, drivers supporting the demands of protests against the falsification of State Duma elections drove to the inner side of the Garden Ring, decorating their cars with white ribbons, cheerful slogans, balloons or simply white sheets of paper, which were also counted as a symbol of protest.
