Residents of Stepanovka are afraid to send their children to school No. 42
The reason for parental concerns is not the educational institution, but the city’s transport scheme. To get from home to school, some need to cross Shevchenko Street. There are two pedestrian crossings on it in the area of the railway crossing. One at the intersection with Elizarov, the other with Nakhimov Lane. The latter is closer to the school and, by definition, more convenient. But it’s not safer, parents say.
