Lost profit
The reason is the write-off of $1.9 billion due to the depreciation of OGK-3 shares and the suspension of the LionOre project to build the Tati Nickel plant (which was supposed to operate using Activox technology). The write-off for OGK-3 amounted to $754 million. The losses for LionOre were greater. Only after the deal did Norilsk Nickel "conduct a detailed review of the components of the [Activox] project," the report says.

Craftsmen
The Master Prize is a long-lived award because it is unpretentious: its monetary value is very modest, there is no award ceremony. There are awards with a symbolic prize (the Goncourt Prize - 10 euros), but they are prestigious. You can't say the same about the Master. A group of art historians and writing critics choose the best artist of the year, ticking off boxes on a list. Without pathos, big bucks, an international jury and a PR campaign.

Loans and oil
In addition to high oil prices, which many are no longer believing in, a positive factor in the summer could be a possible increase in Russia's sovereign rating by Moody's to A in June-July, says Renaissance Capital strategist Ovanes Oganesyan. The main beneficiaries of this will be companies with state participation - Gazprom , Rosneft , VTB , he says. The favorites of Alfa Bank analysts are Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz and VTB.
