The Oxford Dictionary has named "post-truth" as its 2016 Global Word of the Year - an adjective that describes a situation in which emotional appeals have a stronger influence on public opinion than objective facts, the BBC reports . The word was chosen following a "tense" political year, with the UK's vote to leave the EU in June and the US presidential election. It is often used in the phrase post-truth politics.

The increase in parking rates will affect all Moscow streets within the Third Transport Ring
On December 2, the cost of parking on 732 Moscow streets, the list of which is published on the Unified Transport Portal (transport.mos.ru) in the section "Moscow Parking", will be charged at an increased rate. On 133 of the busiest streets, parking will cost 200 rubles per hour around the clock. On 32 streets within the Boulevard Ring from 8:00 to 20:00 parking will cost 50 rubles for the first half hour, then 150 rubles per hour. At other times the rate will be 80 rubles per hour.

Megafon is negotiating with some Mail.ru Group shareholders to purchase their shares, the operator announced yesterday. Megafon did not disclose who the negotiations are with and what the size of the share is. We are talking about buying out Alisher Usmanov’s share, the operator’s partner said and was confirmed by a source in one of Usmanov’s structures. Both Megafon and Mail.ru Group are controlled by Usmanov through USM Holdings.
