The oligarch jumped to his death
Why did the head of the Hyundai concern commit suicide? Yesterday, Chung Mon Hong, co-chairman of one of the largest South Korean corporations, Hyundai, died tragically. The 54-year-old oligarch fell to his death from the 12th floor of the corporation's headquarters in central Seoul. A passionate advocate for restoring Korean unity, Chong met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, and his close business contacts with Pyongyang helped contain tensions over the North's nuclear program.
