The first word of the capital's jury
The first trial in Moscow with the participation of jurors ended yesterday in the Moscow City Court. The defendant, 25-year-old resident of Ramenskoye near Moscow, Igor Bortnikov, who expressed a desire to appear before a jury, was eventually sentenced to ten years in a maximum security colony, although he was acquitted on two of the three charges. Bortnikov was accused of three counts: murder, robbery and theft of documents.
