Water park with a bad reputation
Saturday's tragedy is not the only one that occurred in Transvaal Park. At least three people died there earlier. The first to die, a few days before the official opening of the water park in June 2002, was a Turkish worker who decided to try out the steep descent. They said that he simply did not know how to swim and, having flown out of the attraction's pipe, choked in the pool. As the investigation established, death occurred as a result of an accident.
