An explosion in the Moscow metro occurred on February 6, 2004 at 8.32 on the stretch between the Avtozavodskaya and Paveletskaya stations. According to investigators, the terrorist, who was in the second carriage of the train, detonated an explosive device whose power ranged from two to five kilograms of TNT. According to official data, 40 people died as a result of the explosion, 134 sought medical help.
