Canadians fight for a hotel in Moscow
As part of his European tour, Canadian Foreign Minister Pierre Stuart Pettigrew arrives in Moscow today. He is scheduled to meet with his Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov. For Mr. Pettigrew, who was appointed to his current post on July 20, the visit is for informational purposes. But the minister most likely cannot avoid discussing the quarrel around the Moscow Aerostar Hotel. The history of this oldest Canadian enterprise in Russia is marred by conflicts with Russian partners.
