“For Bush and Kerry, not debating would be catastrophic.”
Late yesterday evening, that is, early this morning Moscow time, candidates for the post of US President, Republican George W. Bush and Democrat John Kerry, were ready to engage in a head-to-head duel. The first televised presidential debate of the current election campaign was scheduled in Florida. The next ones will take place on October 8 and 13. Candidates for the post of US Vice President Richard Cheney and John Edwards will argue once publicly, this will happen on October 5th.
