Russians told Putin about Turkmenistan
Recently, two important events took place in Moscow and Washington that may affect the nature of the relations emerging between the new, post-Niyazov leadership of Turkmenistan, on the one hand, and the Kremlin and the White House, on the other. Vladimir Putin met with members of the Council for Promotion of Civil Society Institutions and Human Rights under the President of Russia. This is only Putin's third meeting with the council he created more than four years ago.
