US executes Arab terrorists
US authorities announced yesterday that they would seek the death penalty against six defendants in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that killed 2,974 people. Among them are members of al-Qaeda, who, according to investigators, participated in the preparation of terrorist attacks, but did not personally take part in them. In particular, Saudi Arabian Muhammad al-Qahtani was detained by American immigration at Orlando airport in August 2001.
