Pyotr Konchalovsky’s painting “Women Bathing under Willow Trees” from a private French collection was sold for 488.8 thousand pounds, which is almost 2 times higher than the stated price.

Three athletes with disabilities from the USA and Norway are participating on equal terms in the World Practical Carbine Shooting Championship, which is taking place in the Patriot Park near Moscow. The world's richest arms dealer, Adnan Khashoggi, died today at the age of 82 in London. A Saudi businessman died while undergoing treatment for Parkinson's disease, reports the Mirror. Adnan Khashoggi was born in 1935 in Mecca. He attended Victoria College in Alexandria, as well as California State University, Ohio State University and Stanford University. In the 1960-70s, he acted as an intermediary in concluding arms deals between American companies and Saudi Arabia.
